Ms. Madeline is a violist and educator based in Seattle, Washington. She got a Master's degree in Viola Performance at the University of Washington in 2021 where she is an instructor for chamber music, baroque ensemble, and the viola studio. Previously based at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, she earned degrees in both Viola Performance and Music Education and played with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Ann Arbor Camerata, and many other local groups. Madeline teaches string players of all ages and freelances in the Seattle area. As a teacher, Madeline helps her students create a methodical style of practice that will help them teach themselves. She has learned from her own experience that quality practice and discipline are crucial to learning and mastering an instrument. She inspires her students to practice and plays expressively, channeling their real feelings and experiences into musical expression.
