Lessons are tailored to the student's goals and level

Trial Lesson
A 30-min trial lesson may be scheduled to "test drive" a lesson for an instrument of your choice. The trial lesson provides an opportunity for students to understand the lesson format and to ask the instructor questions about the instrument and learning methods. During the trial lesson, teachers gather information about students learning abilities and history so that we can tailor lessons in a way that best suits students' needs. The cost of a trial lesson is $35 per student for one instrument and is pre-payable upon scheduling an appointment. Limited to only first lesson of the instrument you choose. Basic Lessons
Happy Minds School Of Music currently offers our students private music instruction for Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Saxophones, Clarinet, Flute, Guitar, Voice, Drums, and Ukulele. Private lessons provide students individualized, 1-on-1, lessons with one of our kid-friendly and musically educated instructors and are geared towards the specific goals, needs, and aspirations of each student regardless of experience or age.
For new students, we offer an optional individual placement interview to match the student with the right teacher. We also specialize in music lessons for adults.
Students will be able to participate in a variety of performance opportunities at our school including recitals, evaluations, graded examinations or festivals which provides students with varied opportunities to show their skills and talents. Private lessons include 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Each lesson provides comprehensive music education that includes theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and history.

Theory & Harmony Lessons
The study of music theory provides the essential foundation for a deeper understanding of music as a language. It compliments the study of music performance so that students can learn to listen and speak, and not merely "pronounce", the language of music through the instrument. At Happy Minds, music theory courses are taught based on the syllabus of Royal Conservatory Achievement Programs with 10 levels of core classes. The sooner students begin to acquire this essential knowledge, the better they will be able to understand and appreciate more fully the music they are learning. Basic theory courses are open to students ages 6 and older. Slightly younger students may be accepted into the program based upon their teacher’s recommendation.

Ensemble
Ensembles are a great way to learn to perform classical music. It is almost equivalent to playing rock music in a band. We encourage all of our students to participate in the Ensemble Program to experience the beauty of performing and making music in a group setting. Ensembles encourage interaction between students and foster teamwork among the performers. We integrated the ensemble programs into our monthly membership rates, therefore, the students can enjoy the comprehensive musical programs at affordable rates. The students are evaluated through an audition process and matched up with other students of the same skill level. Once placed in groups, students will learn to perform music with other students of similar levels and ages. The program is open to violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar, vocal, saxophone, clarinet, and flute students.
No Long-Term Contract
There is no long-term contract for lessons. Tuitions are billed to the student account monthly and paid via automatic payment with the credit card on file. Just let us know if you wish to terminate enrollment for music lessons and you will not be billed for tuition the following month.
