Ms. Annamarie
Cello Instructor
Ms. Annamarie is a cellist and music educator who graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Music Performance and a minor in Education Studies. As a cellist, Annamarie has performed with the University of Puget Sound Orchestra (Tacoma, WA), the Continental League Honor Orchestra (Denver, CO), and the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra (Denver, CO). Annamarie especially enjoys performing in theatrical productions. She played cello in the stage rendition of Margaret Atwood’s The Penelopiad and performed in the Pit Orchestras for The Addams Family and No, No Nanette. Annamarie also performed as a freelance musician and has participated in various chamber ensembles since 2016. As a music educator, Annamarie led classroom music classes at the Centennial Academy of Fine Arts Education and the South Suburban Parks and Recreation Department in her hometown of Littleton, CO. As a Music Education student, Annamarie volunteered in music classrooms in the Tacoma Public School System, Federal Way Public School System, and Seabury Middle School, where she facilitated song-writing group projects, worked with individual string students, and conducted and led orchestra rehearsals.
Ms. Annamarie believes that students thrive when they feel confident in their own musical practice and feel motivated to challenge themselves in their music-making. Annamarie aims to create a safe space where students can develop the technical skills and tools they need to express themselves musically.
