Dr. Centeno

Dr. Gene Centeno is a professional saxophonist and music educator formerly based out of Austin, TX., and newly relocated to the greater Seattle area. Dr. Centeno has performed and recorded with many south Texas artists, and also many national artists, such as, Grammy Award Winning - Grupo Fantasma, The

Latin Players, Andre Hayward, Ed Calle, Greg Boyer, The Temptations, Prince, Maceo Parker, Sheila E, Mike Phillips, Aubrey Logan, Joel Frahm, and many others. As a recent Doctor of Musical Arts graduate from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Centeno took part in Austin, TX’s rich and diverse musical community and environment for many years as a performer and educator, and is looking forward to contributing to the greater Seattle music performance and education environments in the same manner.
