Red has been playing guitar for 25 years and teaching for over 18. He has developed his personalized curriculum, which uses popular guitar driven rock and pop songs as musical etudes, to educate the students with valuable theory, reading, techniques, and scale theory, while keeping the lessons fun through the learning of songs.
As a teacher Red has taught students of all ages, from children to adults. His proudest accomplishments in teaching include preparing and aiding some of his future professional musician students to enroll in music colleges, including UCLA, Musicians Institute, and the Berklee College of Music.
Currently Red has planted his roots here in Seattle, taking a break from the rigors of the road. He wants to take this opportunity to teach a new generation of aspiring guitarists, and to return to school to pursue his doctorate in performance guitar.
